Shipper/Receiver – (F/T)

What would I be doing in this role at TECO-Westinghouse Motors (Canada) Inc.?

This position is primarily responsible for shipping and receiving activities at our Cambridge, Ontario warehouse. You are a highly organized individual with superior customer service skills and attention to details, you take initiative in assisting internal and external customers. You are a skilled reach truck driver who thrives in a busy environment and ensures that safety is always top of mind.

What skills is TECO-Westinghouse Motors (Canada) Inc. looking for from you?

  • 3+ years experience in a similar role.
  • Valid forklift licenses – both Sit down Counterbalance and Reach Truck, preferable
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Time management and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work as a team.

What would my main duties be?

SHIPPING/RECEIVING:

  • Pull, pack and ship all customer and modification orders.
  • Complete Bill of Ladings, Record Serial Numbers.
  • Call Carriers to book pickups and load/offload trucks.
  • Prepare materials for shipment, packaging, banding and movement of goods.
  • Maintain accurate records for all outgoing/incoming shipments (Bill of Ladings, packing slips etc.)
  • Receive incoming products into locations and maintain accurate movements of inventory.
  • Communicate with other departments on shipments via MS Outlook and telephone.
  • Inspect goods for damages and communicate to purchasing & logistics departments.
  • Receive weekly transfers and containers from the factory, along with Customer returns.

OTHER TASKS

  • Nameplate engraving & installation.
  • Tagging and labeling of products.
  • General House-keeping duties, sweeping and maintaining a clean warehouse.
  • Participate in annual inventory count.
  • Rebuild crates, refurbish returned motors.

Position details:

Type of Position: Full-time – Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Location: Cambridge, Ontario
Start Date: Immediately
